The Lincoln Lawyer season 4 will bring yet another big trial — and this time, Mickey Haller is the defendant.

In January 2025, Netflix announced on X that the hit series — starring Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Becki Newton, Jazz Raycole, Angus Sampson and Neve Campbell — had been renewed for a fourth season.

It's good news for fans who have already watched the shocking final moments of The Lincoln Lawyer season 3, where a seemingly routine traffic stop goes sideways for the show's leading man.

"This is going to be the biggest and most personal challenge Mickey has ever faced, and also the biggest roller coaster we’ve yet taken our audience on," co-showrunner Ted Humphrey told Tudum about the next installment.

Season 3 of The Lincoln Lawyer ended with what Humphrey described to TV Insider as a "curve ball."

After Mickey wins the Julian La Cosse (Devon Graye) case, he's pulled over by a Los Angeles police officer while driving his beloved powder-blue Lincoln Continental.

The officer informs him that his license plate is missing and discovers a suspicious liquid dripping from the trunk. With that, Mickey is handcuffed, and the situation only escalates when the officer pops open the compartment to find con man Sam Scales (Christopher Thornton) shot dead inside.

“Talk about a cliffhanger!” Garcia-Rulfo told Tudum. “You’re expecting the season to end with Mickey saying goodbye to his friends and driving off and then — boom. It’s a dead body in the trunk."

Official plot details for The Lincoln Lawyer season 4 have yet to be released. However, Humphrey told Tudum that Mickey's fate "certainly plays out across the whole season in the form of his trial."

He also teased that the season 4 premiere will provide viewers with the "broad strokes of what specifically has happened and what charges — and adversaries — Mickey is facing."

Netflix's The Lincoln Lawyer is based on a book series by New York Times best-selling author Michael Connelly.

The character Mickey Haller, while fictional, was inspired by two real-life lawyers: the late David Ogden, who was known for working out of his Lincoln, and Florida-based attorney Dan Daly.

The written work was later turned into the 2011 movie of the same name, starring Matthew McConaughey.

Season 4 of The Lincoln Lawyer, consisting of 10 episodes, will be based on the sixth book in Connelly’s series, The Law of Innocence, according to Tudum.

Millie Bobby Brown plans to 'shave her hair off' again for major life event
Millie Bobby Brown wants to "shave her hair off" when she has her first baby. The 21-year-old actress - who is getting married to Jon Bon Jovi's son Jake Bongiovi - is keen to raise a family in the future, and she'd love to go back to her 'Stranger Things' look by getting rid of her locks in time for giving birth. She told the 'Call Her Daddy' podcast: "I always tell Jake, for my first baby, I want to shave my hair off. "I don’t know. It was really liberating, would suggest it for anyone. Any girl... Maybe [I would shave it] right before I’m about to give birth because I just think hair is such an ordeal anyway to deal with. "I’m gonna nurture my child. Why deal with my hair? And I think it’s such a liberating experience. "To be a woman is, and I felt like I had that experience as a girl, but I’d like to have that experience as a woman." Millie was just 12 years old when she was cast as Eleven in 'Stranger Things', but she had absolutely no qualms about shaving her head before filming the hit Netflix show. She recalled: "I honestly did not care and I’m saying that like I really did not care. I didn’t have anxiety, I wasn’t sad when they shaved it off. "I just thought, 'Cool. Now this is what I’m doing.' I think it started to hit me months and months in where you get to that age where you’re 11 now and you’re shaving it consecutively every three days because it cannot grow past a certain length because we’re filming, so continuity-wise you’re shaving it, so every time it started to grow and I’d get excited, we’d shave it again." She started to feel "insecure" once she and her friends were getting to the age where boys were getting interested in other girls. She added: "So, I think it became to the point where I was like 12, 11 or 12, where I was like, the boys started liking girls and I was kind of like maybe, 'Why are boys not liking me?' "And then I was like, 'I’m feeling insecure now,' so I would put wigs on and I did get really, really bullied. "In public, people would make comments and stuff but honestly, I still to this day loved the experience and I would do it again."

My best friend provides me with endless amounts of helpful support and wisdom, but one of her most enduring pieces of advice dates back to our college days, when we used to do some pretty irresponsible drinking. We’d mix spirits, we’d drink beer before liquor, we’d down sugary shots practically designed to give us pulverizing headaches … pretty much everything you’ve heard you shouldn’t do while consuming alcohol, we did.

Charlie Sheen's daughter Sami 'bullied' for looking like her dad
Charlie Sheen's daughter Sami Sheen was bullied for looking like her famous father. Sami, 20, has admitted the cruel taunts about her appearance from her school mates convinced her she needed to get a nose job and she's also had to deal with comparisons to her actress mother Denise Richards. Speaking to her mom in an episode of family reality show 'Denise Richards and Her Wild Things', Sami explained: "I had to deal with kids bullying me. "People would say I looked like my dad. I actually got a comment the other day of someone saying, ‘You’ll never be as pretty as your mom'." The episode showed Denise driving her daughter to a consultation with a doctor about her planned rhinoplasty prior to the surgery in August and Sami told her mother she had wanted the operation "for as long as [I] can remember", adding: "I have this freaking honker stuck to my face". Sami also pointed to her mom's face as the example of a "perfect" nose as she explained her hope for the surgery to the doctor. Later in the episode, Denise - who is mom to Sami as well as 19-year-old Lola with her ex-husband Charlie- became tearful as she talked about her daughter's desire to go under the knife. She said: "For my daughter to want to get her nose done, it made me so sad. I feel bad that she has to live up to my nose, or whatever, because I don’t want [my daughters] to feel they have to look a certain way ... "There were times I wanted to move the kids out of LA, and I couldn’t because of where I worked. And they had two parents in this business. I feel bad." However, in a confessional, Sami wondered if she would even be considering cosmetic surgery if she wasn't living the celebrity lifestyle in Los Angeles. She said: "I'm really trying to think if we lived in, like, Alabama and I worked a normal job and I wasn't on social media. I probably would still want a nose job."

Tom Sandoval wants to 'move on' from scandal
Tom Sandoval wants to "move on" from his cheating scandal. The 42-year-old reality star split from Ariana Madix in 2023 after it emerged that he had a months-long affair with his 'Vanderpump Rules' co-star Rachel Leviss - but Tom has now drawn a line under the scandal and is instead focusing on his future. He told Us Weekly: "It’s been two years; I want to move on from that and continue with my life." Tom became a public hate figure in the immediate aftermath of the cheating scandal, but the reality star now feels the "hate has died down". He shared: "I want to leave that stuff in the past. "I’m sure there’s still people out there who hold on to that - I know there are - but the hate has died down for sure. Whether they’re laughing with me [or] laughing at me, at least they’re laughing, and that’s what I love." Tom was in a relationship with Ariana from 2013 until 2023, and the celebrity duo actually still own a home together. However, Tom has confirmed that they're currently in the process of finding a solution to the issue. He explained: "It’s been a process. It’s definitely in the works, and I’m looking forward to moving on and closing - like, really fully closing - that chapter. It’s closed in my life, but this is the only thing that’s sort of [still] there." Despite this, Tom also admitted that he continues to be reminded of his past mistakes. The reality star - who is dating model Victoria Lee Robinson - shared: "My girlfriend, Victoria, gets a lot of stuff that’s unfair to her, which I feel really bad about. The only thing she’s guilty of is loving me. I wish people would leave her alone. Save it for me!"
