Jill Saulnier Adjusts Wicked Fast To Her New City

Jill Saulnier was traded to the Boston Fleet on January 21st from the New York Sirens in exchange for Taylor Girard.

Saulnier had the game of her career Sunday afternoon, scoring one goal and one assist.

The Fleet dominated the Minnesota Frost in the second and third period, securing a four-to-two win.

Two players specifically had a strong connection that contributed to the team’s success; Susanna Tapani and Jill Saulnier.

The pair was electric all afternoon, recording a total of four points between the two of them. Each left the game with one goal and one assist.

The sequence of teamwork began In the second period, when a pass from Tapani to Saulnier put the Fleet on the board. Saulnier recorded her first goal of season with the Fleet, and she repaid Tapani later in the third period when Susanna Tapani beautifully places the puck over Rooney's shoulder in what could be a highlight goal.

Saulnier complimented Tapani and said, “her patience is just something I've never seen before. Just for her to receive that puck and put that exactly where she wanted it.”

The dynamic pair got into a groove on Sunday, as Tapani had Saulnier’s assist and Saulnier had Tapani’s assist.

“She's a wonderful player. I've really enjoyed playing with her. I think we're kind of get rolling here. We've got some chemistry. It's been fun to be together, and I'm excited for the next” said Saulnier.

Jill Saulnier has been with the team for just under a month. She adjusted quickly to the team, playing a game with them just one day after she was traded.

As for her time on the Fleet she said, “it's been amazing. I don’t think I’ve stop smiling honestly since I got here. I said to the girls and the staff, I just I felt at home since I've put down here.”

Not only did Saulnier have a two-point night, she also had a fantastic game defensively.

Saulnier threw her body in front of two of the Frost's power play shots to help Peslarová keep the puck out of the net in her PWHL debut.

“I think that just shows tonight with the chemistry that everybody has together, just the heart that was a good team win with a bunch of heart, and those are the best ones to go on the road with” Saulnier said.

Saulnier played 17 minutes and 28 seconds in Sundays win. She recorded one goal, one assist, three shots, and one hit. Her strong performance helped the team come back and beat Minnesota four-to-two.

Head Coach Courney Kessel agreed, “[I’m] just really happy with the response that we had after the first period.”

The Fleet play again Monday at 4 pm in New York.

My best friend provides me with endless amounts of helpful support and wisdom, but one of her most enduring pieces of advice dates back to our college days, when we used to do some pretty irresponsible drinking. We’d mix spirits, we’d drink beer before liquor, we’d down sugary shots practically designed to give us pulverizing headaches … pretty much everything you’ve heard you shouldn’t do while consuming alcohol, we did.

The Los Angeles Kings have recently undergone a self-inflicted fall from grace. Of course, most of their wounds are self-inflicted, but the fumbling at the worst time of year is a stark reminder of a poorly constructed roster if one considers the team 'championship-caliber.' One of the areas that was previously on stable ground has now shown some pulled roots: goaltending.

Emma Bunton and Mel B 'reunited in South Korea'
Emma Bunton and Mel B reunited in November to take part in a reality TV show. The 49-year-old pop star and Mel secretly flew to Seoul, South Korea, in late 2024, when they sang alongside K-pop idols for a TV show. A source told The Sun newspaper: "A Spice Girls reunion is a way off. "So having Emma and Mel back on stage singing a Spice Girls song together might be the closest fans get to a comeback, even though it will be with K-pop stars rather than Geri Horner, Melanie C and Victoria Beckham. "They flew to South Korea at the end of last year and were on set for quite a few days as they battled it out with other pop veterans. "With them alone on board, it is a big show. But there’s also Boy George and loads of other chart-topping stars, which will be enough to encourage people to tune in." The reality show will air on Apple TV and will also feature the likes of Megan Thee Stallion and Psy, the 'Gangnam Style' singer. Meanwhile, Melanie recently revealed that she's ready to "start planning" a Spice Girls reunion. The 51-year-old singer would love to reunite with her bandmates to mark the 30th anniversary of 'Wannabe', the group's 1996 hit single. Melanie told Rebecca Judd On Apple Music 1: "There has to be something befitting of 30 years since ‘Wannabe’. "Once a Spice Girl, always a Spice Girl. We all feel like that, but we now are getting together because we know if we're going to do anything, we have to start planning things to get things right. "We have to start making the plans right now and putting them into action. So fingers crossed."

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco taking wedding planning 'one day at a time'
Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco are taking "one day at a time" with their wedding planning. The newly-engaged lovebirds aren't rushing into their big day, and 37-year-old musician joked his bride-to-be, 32, is constantly coming up with a whole new idea. He told Rolling Stone magazine in a joint interview: “I think every day she’s planned a new wedding in her head. “We’re very much ‘take it one day at a time’ type of people. We’re still not over this moment. "Literally, while you were talking, she was sitting there staring at her ring.” The 'Only Murders In The Building' actress pointed out that for now, they're focused on the upcoming release of their collaborative album 'I Said I Love You First'. She added: “Also, I genuinely feel like this is such a special time that we get to apply it to this album and really just pour our heart into it, and completely translate what we feel and bring it to the world. "That’s my main focus right now, at least.” In December last year, Selena revealed Benny had proposed using an oval-shaped ring with a large diamond. He popped the question during a picnic which featured Taco Bell, but he insisted there wasn't an "elaborate" meaning behind the fast food involvement, He explained: “There’s not this whole elaborate thing. I think we’re very lucky to be surrounded by such great people, and we’ve still just been enjoying so much. “It feels like we got engaged yesterday, but also feels like we got engaged 20 years ago. I’ve known her since she was 18, and so it’s like we got all that stuff out of the way. "By the time we’re dating, it’s like, whoa. My biggest regret is that we didn’t get to do this earlier, like we waited this long to be together. But I know it was perfect and it was right.”
